We'll see. Every time there's a major take down, others take the place. Like power vacuums created when the US gave back the Panama Canal - Chicoms now run it, the Brits withdrew from their colonies - they're overwhelmed with hostile "WOGs" as they call them. WW2. The Nazi regime collapsed; we were fast enough to engage the Marshall Plan for western Europe but the Soviets grabbed the eastern part.
So on down the line to ancient history,
Yeah, a bit esoteric but the basic principal applies.
