Interesting device for viewing tv remotely

Following on from the trials & tribulations that Jay is having with some unit gulping all his bandwith etc, I came upon this device in the UK today that lets you hook up your sat receiver etc to the internet to access channels wherever you happen to be.

No idea if its any good, and it looks expensive to me for what at first glance looks like a video capture device with remote control......

The Slingbox has a good reputation.

BTW, my connection problems were due to a faulty rooter. It's fixed smile.gif

That's another story. It's blocking some aspects. I need to call tech suport. There are a lot of filters on this box and I don't want to play with all of them unless forced to. At present, I can't even see IM on EB. Others can see and hear me though.

I have heard nothing but good things about the Slingbox. We even have some sales guys who use it at their desk to keep up on the "game" during work..
