Ski,
Which camera are you using on that front pan and tilt hardware?

It is a Panasonic chipset 480 line cam from Automated Outlet. Varifocal as well. smile.gif

The latest must have is the 4th generation Sony chipet.

Is this camera your best?
Also what pan and tilt unit are you using?

Do you have a link for the camera?

It is currently my best bullet out door cam.

This is probably the closest thing Martin has:

Ski,
Do you have any pics of your bullet cam mounted on the ninja. Is it mounted where it gets wet?

I'll snap one tomorrow if I get a chance.
Basically I took the removable part of the Ninja and drilled a 3/8ths hole where I mounted the bullet cam with a single bolt.

The ninjas are up where they get totally soaked and snow/ice covered..
So far so good.

I've had ninjas mounted outdoors in our good ole Canadian weather - wtihout a flaw. I have them positioned so they don't get direct weather, like under an eave or with a "board" roof above them.

how do you know if it is a 4th gen chip from sony? I still haven't bit the bullet on cameras, but really need/want to before the Super Target opens (4 houses down from me smile.gif

I want to make sure the quality is GREAT. Thinking about mounting on the basketball hoop to get a better image of cars driving down the street. Would really like to be able to read the license plate at night if possible/needed.

If you need to see license plates, you'll need a slew-on-motion, ptz type.

Just to clarify (not sure if it matters), I don't plan to run it through HS. I plan to get a quad DVR with web server instead so all 4 cameras will be recorded 24/7.

Damn, now I'll have to get me a ninja (or two).

Here I am at work (shh, don't tell anyone) and took a moment to check out the official skibum streaming video. The video is remarkably clear and the pre-set positions are really slick.

PS. Derek - hope those burgers were tasty!! biggrin.gif

They were AWESOME!

I cook the best burgers around. Only natural hardwood charcoal here... smile.gif

And... there's nothing like streaming at 640x480.
