Right, tonight we are off to Penelopes dads for the night and an early start to the airport in the morning!!

For the first time in four years, we are going on a proper holiday - courtesy of her dad!

We are going back to the Red Sea and a resort called El Gouna for some diving smile.gif

There is a webcam there, and also a weather station, but I think its at the far end of the place so we probably wont make it up there.

See you at the end of the month!!

Back now! - boy was it hot!

Bloody ATC in Cairo had us on the ground for over half an air for airspace clearance and then we had the jobsworths at UK imigration make us wait for 3/4 hour to show them our passports!

One guy had an "incident" on the boat we were on and we had to rush mid-way back to base to be met by a rescue speedboat to medivac him off to the de-compression chamber (the pot) for a few hours - he was motionless on the surface, but fine the next day!

We were diving on a WW2 wreck bombed by the Germans and I got to 32 Metres - will have to webhost some photos later in the week!

We stayed at a privately built resort called El Gouna and its nothing like previous Egypt places we have been.

Jay - you can buy an apartment there for as little as $150,00 US - they reckon the growth is 30% PA and a 5% PA return on your investment minimum if you rent it out.

We were thinking about it and went along to a build that was in progress.......

You get 10% off all resort facilities as an owner too! - Omar Shariff has a place there and his son Tariq owns four restaurants in the Marina area.

As this was a proper holiday, we did not take any video, but have loads of stills including some underwater ones I am quite pleased with - I have some work to do on them, but will put a slideshow together in the week as I have a trip report to write for my diving forum too.

We took a few pics of the new apartments being built - all marble worktops and flooring!

They have six hundred workers on site each day and plan it being ready in two months time!
