I have a dell GX260 that is dog slow. I just ran a nice Vista Compatibility Checker on it (for the hell of it, not because I plan to run Vista on this machine), and it showed that my CPU was a 2.0 Ghz upgradeable to 3.0 ghz. I figure for $75 it would be worth it. However, I want to make sure I get the right one, let alone that it could handle it.
How do I find out what socket, max CPU and what FSB I can put in here?
Thanks
BTW: that checker for Vista is www.vista-agent.com
