I was going to write a HS script to do this but > http://www.dyndns.com/support/clients/

Runs as a service.

I can't believe you still have issues suing Comcast. My IP changes about once a year.

So does mine. I'm simply tired of touching 'modify host' once a month.
No issues.

Records?
All I did was to prevent the need to respond to the monthly dyndns email to modify the host (by "touching it" to keep it alive.

ahhhh must be a DYNDNS thing.
I just don't understand if you go through all that trouble why you don't just make an A record.

Now it's your turn. We have discussed this on at least 3 occasions.
I do NOT have A record access.
I worry about your mind as much as about your cramps and other geezer problems.

This must be Freudian!

Jay, I have used DYNDNS for a couple of years and have had to 'touch' it using modify host 2-3 times. A simple, but unelegant way, to touch it regularly would be to use hs.keys.

I also use no-ip, and have found it quicker to connect and I don't recall it having the same 'touch' requirement.

Hey Jeff, I've gotten 'about to expire' monthly emails for several years. I don't trust 'keys' and since I'm away so much, the client is an elegant solution for me. It's been relegated to the 'don't worry about it' pile.
