I must be having a rough day; Don's passing really upsets me even though I did not know him personally.

Anyway, thanks for the info, I haven't been looking at the HS board much anymore.

Rest in Peace OM and Best 73.

I agree, these things bother me more and more. Don was an early-adopter - and he stood up for what he thought was right. He's certainly a loss to our "family".

Help me out here guy's. I tend to jump off the deep end before looking, I dont wanna do that here.

I realize the road for the HST community has been a little rough lately and Don and HST haven't seen exactly eye to eye, but does it bother anyone else that HST hasn't even bothered to post a responce. The man seems to have forgotten more about HA than some at HST EVER knew. He at least deserves that acknowledgement. Even with all the problems you knew what software JEANNIE ran on, Don never hid the fact that 1.7 met his needs quite well.

This cyber death thing is a tough one to get my head around, I've been less saddend by the passing of co-workers I saw everyday for years than someone I only virtually spoke to. The world is truly a strange place anymore.

Thanks for the help, Terry

p.s. they may have contacted Dons family directly for all I know. If so nevermind.

You've summed it up nicely tman. For goodness sake, the man was doing HA before I was born.

The loss is a shame. Lets just hope that where ever he is now he has finally met the real jeannie.

Sincerest wishes for his family...
