How are you guys using your blasters for TV and other stuff?

At least with IRUIRT, I would need to create several events or a single scripted event for each possible channel. Or are y'all mostly using IR to consolidate many remotes?

In short, how are you applying IR?

I just created commands for 0-9 and then linked them for specific channels that I watch all the time, or then just use HSTV.

That works for me. After you have 0-9, you can script any combo. I guess I'm really looking down the road when I put a HTPC on the island. I'll need to control the PC tuner and the audio gear. I guess that's going to be some combination of XL fat clients with HS doing the heavy lifting and a universal remote. Just lookin fer idears smile.gif Sooo many ways to go.

Right now, I'm just using the USBUIRT to bring up the ol' RadShack TV to ch 59 to see the cams when I get to the orifice in the AM and shut it down at night.

I use Titan for PCTV viewing and recording in the orifice thru an IR connector block or mouse click. Not sure how that's going to fit in a larger HTPC environment - I haven't yet experimented with the blaster passing hophog IR code yet. Who knows what the hot PC-based HD tuner will be when I get to it. But, that's the phun as we say in Philly biggrin.gif

Anyway - Tnx
