I just went into the Updater today. I have not been in there for quite some time and I noticed that the cost of plugins of on the rise. What are the plugin authors and HST thinking? Being customers and users themselves, plugin authors should know that users are always looking for the best value for least money in their plugins. At least that is my take on it.
The only plugin that is exempt from this is the ACRF plugin which I feel is a neccessity. My system would not function without it. But some of the other plugins (Message Server, DooMotion, WAF-NetCallerId, Media Player). Come on let's get real here. I know that I would never pay that much for those plugins. I certainly would not pay for two of them because I have written my own versions of those
I just feel like this hobby (and that is what I think it is) is becoming a greedy business. Over three years ago when I started using home automation it was VERY different.
Sorry for my rant, but this is my .02
