Sold some Honda stuff on ebay and have a couple hundred dollars to spend on a new PDA. My Visor is tired and I want a new toy.

Is there anything wrong with a Dell Axim X5?
I found one on ComputerGeeks.com for around $190 and also found a few for that price with WI-Fi on ebay that are new.

I'm open for suggestions.
Thanks,
Dan-O

I've got the first dell Axim that had the built in WiFi. Can't remember the model and its been packed in a box for months. I never had any issues with it and it was quick and bright. If only I could figure out what to do with it! I have thought about selling it, but... how can someone like us get rid of something like that!

The X5 is an older model Axim.
Nothing at all wrong with it, but it will have an older O/S, and not be as functional as a new unit.

Ski,
What functions do you think I would be missing?
I'm sure I wouldn't be putting it through it's paces like some of your gear you have/use.

JayFro,
If you want to sell it to me, figure out the model number and get in touch with me.
I'm ready to buy.

Also,
I'm not stuck on Dell.
Any other suggestions for a comparible unit by another manufacturer?
Thanks,
Dan-O

Well I believe that 802.11 speed is not that fast....As I'm not sure what your plans are for it, it is hard to say what it will not do...

Just looking for a basic Pocket PC to replace my old HandSpring Visor.
The features of the X5 look OK.
I see a few HP units like the Axim too.
I'll have to compare features.

AS a rule, you'll always get more for the buck with the Dell over the HP units.
