My client has both a Photosmart 2610 and a Photosmart 8450. I installed both as network printers several months ago. Suddenly, selecting either printer will send the job to the 2610; even when printing test pages from each printer's property tabs. Furthermore, the 2600's ink levels are are shown, not the 8450's. I can get the 8450 to print if I remove the lan cable from the 2610.
Both printers are currently set to port 9100. I don't know if they always were. I tried setting the 8450 to 9101 but the spooler couldn't find it so I changed it back.
What I have not done yet is to look at the IP addys and other network info on each printers' control panel.
HP told me to reinstall the printers on all machines.
Anyone else ever see this? I didn't have much time to spend on that visit.
